Instagram and facebook Chris Potter Art continuity

Hello fans and friends of Chris Potter,

Chris and me, Julie in Hawaii 2019

For those of you who don’t know me, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Julie Beaumont, and I have been by Chris’ side since we first met in Paris in 2001. We married less than two years later, and together raised two amazing children, Malakye and Zenia along a hand full of pets.

Most of you have probably heard this horrible news by now. For those that have not, it is with broken hearts that our family wishes to inform his entire fanbase that Chris passed away unexpectedly on February 3rd, 2024. But his art will live on, and we’ll be dedicating our attention and time to ensure that his appreciation for nature’s beauty remains a force in all of our lives.

We will continue to run his websites, sell his prints and occasionally auction off originals, and work on future projects to keep the memory of Chris Potter alive indefinitely.

That goes all the way back to the lead figures he learned to paint at age 12, to the abstract works he produced while earning his art degree at UCSB, and to the doodles and drawings that filled up countless volumes. We plan to share aspects of all of these in the years to come.

Going forward, I will be the primary manager of the Chris Potter art archives. It will be much like a role I had during his life, when I was his muse and his catalyst for leaving his “stupid” job to become a full-time artist. No matter if it was a family trip, a birthday gathering with friends, or a weekend day at the beach, the kids and I always encouraged and supported Chris taking a chunk of that time to paint.

As he fought cancer, we had long talks about his hopes and dreams for when we was gone. His deepest wish was for his art business to keep going, even to thrive in his absence. Ultimately, he wanted that his paintings and prints would generate a continuing income that could support our family long into the future.

This dream won’t be possible without your support, so please continue to buy Chris Potter pieces to support his wish and our family.

The best way to support us right away is to buy prints or merchandise! I am kicking it off with a $5 off his 10 pack, High Quality, NoteCards : discount code: SPRING5$CARDS.

I have turned on the shipping option, which has been off for almost two years. The shipping are for USA only and CARD payment only, for international or alternative method of payment, you must contact me through our website. chrispotterart.com. But please be patient, as I am just starting to learn this business for myself. Please be willing to work with me if the shipping/packaging/handling cost is too low or too high. (ill issue refund if its way too much after I ship or ask for additional payment if too low)

And I  must share that Chris absolutely loved all the comments and community interaction beneath his social media posts. It totally took his mind off of his pain and sickness the last two years.  It uplifted him and filled his life with joy and a feeling of being appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Again, thanks for your continued support. Long live my husband & life partner, an incredibly talented human; Chris Potter!

Sincerely,

Julie Beaumont
